Thanksgiving 2009

This year for Thanksgiving we spent it in Utah with some of Jason's Family. The week was full of football games, Basketball games, shopping, eating yummy food, hanging out with the family and much much more. I'm not really good at the writing thing so I will just let the pics tell the story.

We went to The Little America Hotel Cafe for Thanksgiving dinner. It was really good and the best part about it was that we didn't have to cook or clean up. So nice!!! Lynlee's Family also came to dinner with us. It's always fun to hang out with them. ( Yeah, I know, this pic isn't so good because Jaden turned his head, there's only half of Jason, Jordin is a blur and I'm not in the pic...it was a crazy dinner for me, so this pic was just fine..lol)

I turned my head for one second and next thing we know she was eating off of Taylor's plate. So he just gave her the rest. I guess mine wasn't good enough for her.

After dinner we walked over to the Grand America Hotel and saw some fun Gingerbread Houses and we got our picture taken for free...and dad thought that there was some free cookies somewhere....lol!!

So when everyone was at the BYU vs UT game, Doug and his little family and I went to the mall and had some fun. We had their family this year for Christmas, so I took the kids to the Build a Bear workshop and let them build a bear. After we went to the work shop the kids got to go and tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Nana Anna got them these cute matching PJ's and so with their build a bears in hand it made for this fun Christmas pic.

It is Joselyn's birthday this month so Nana gave her some gifts.....

I know, I know...I haven't done a blog for awhile. But now I am back.

Halloween weekend was fun.....

Our Little Tinker Bell didn't know what to do, so she thought it would be fun to play with the rocks instead of trick-or-treating....maybe next year she will know what to do ;)

Today is our sweet little Jordin's 1st birthday. We love our little princess so much and we feel so blessed to have her in our life.

We had a little party for Jaden and Jordin in UT so they could do something with Jason.

It's been a long time since I have been on to post. Things have been a little crazy with trips and Jadens Baseball. I'll try to do a post before I leave for the rez for a few weeks.

My Twenties

Here's a look back at my twenties....

1999: I married the man of my dreams on August 7th in the Salt Lake Temple. We also got to enjoy a honeymoon at Disney World. Our First Christmas together we went to Idaho and had Christmas with his family and then for New years we drove to Washington to surprise my mom. The look on here face when we showed up was great!

2000: enjoyed the first year of being married. Jason and I both were working hard in school and at work.

2001: We took our first trip to Hawaii in August, found out in October that we were going to have a baby and became an Aunt for the first time in December.

2002: My brother flew me home to surprise my mom for her big 50th birthday bash in February. I would have to say I just loved the look on her face when she answered the door and I asked if she had an extra bed I could stay in. Once again it was great to see her so surprised. We spent most of the next few months getting ready for our new little one. Jaden Knight was born on July 19th. I was 23 and was so happy with my husband and new little baby boy. On a crazy note, I ended up in the ER with a really bad gallbladder attack two months after I had Jaden. A few days later I had it removed. So I had a baby and surgery all within a few months. I wanted nothing else to do with doctors for the rest of the year. To end the year we got to go back to Washington for Christmas to see both of the families. It was Jadens first Christmas and it was a blast.

2003: Jason was in his last year at BYU and was working on getting into Dental school.
We also got to go back to Washington to be at my brothers wedding.

2004: Found out that Jason was accepted into Creighton Dental School, Jason walked at his BYU Graduation, and we packed our stuff and moved to Omaha in August. We moved to a place called Village Green and began our Dental School adventure.

2005: I was enjoying living in Omaha and living in Village Green. I made so many new and long time friends there. Jaden was getting bigger and life was going great. In December we lost Jason's Grandpa Kay. So we went home for the funeral and the Christmas season to be with family.

2006: was spent hanging out in Omaha. We went to Utah for Cami and JR's wedding. Jaden started Pre-K that fall...In November my mom called me and told me that my grandmother had just passed away and that she was on her way to go be with her dad and family. Jaden and I went to be with my mom and family in Montana and then my grandfather got really sick and he passed away a few days later...wow! Both grandparents within a few days a each other. That was really hard and I am thankful that my brother and his family helped me get out there to be with my mom. After Montana I went back to Omaha and then we flew to Washington for Christmas and then to Utah for Nate and Lynlees wedding. After that Jason went Back to Omaha for school and I went back to Washington to hang out for a few more weeks.

2007: Was full of ups and downs. I'll start with some ups. In January, I got to meet my brothers new little baby boy Cameron. In May, My mom took Jaden and I to Disney Land with my brother and his family. It was soooo much fun. I just love anything Disney. It keeps me young! In July I went back to Montana for a big life celebration for my grandparents that had passed away. I got to see a lot of extended family that I haven't seen in years..It was the last time that We would all be together at the Lake house where my grandparents had spend their last years together.. It was a great time that I will never forget. I got to attended my ten year High School reunion in WA and had a great time hanging out with a lot of great old friends. Jason was going to start his senior year in Dental School. It was so nice to think that there would be a end to all his schooling. There were many more ups, but like I said, we had a few downs...We had been trying for a few years to get pregnant and we finally got pregnant. We were so happy that we would be adding to our little family. So we found out in June that we were pregnant and then a few weeks later after all our summer fun we found out in August that we had lost the baby...I would have to say that was the hardest thing that I had ever had to face in my life..But Jason and Jaden were there to help me day by day...My friends and family also were a be support. So after all that Jason and Jaden both went back to school and I went and found a job working at Zales. Now back to the ups!!! Surprise to us I found out that I was pregnant. What, how did that happen???? Funny thing was, the baby was due on July 16th....Jaden was due on July 15th...so that was kind of funny to us. So for all that had happen that year, it was a great way to end the year.

2008: Jason was done with Dental School. Now it was time to wait for our next little one to join our family. Jordin Elizabeth was born on July 9th. Now I had my boy and my new little girl...This was such a great moment in my life..I didn't think that this would be..My two kids..I love saying that. I still feel that there are more waiting to come down, but when, who knows...But for now, We have our two and we are very thankful for that. A few weeks later we moved to a rez in Fort Defiance, AZ because Jason took a job with the IHS..It's only for a few years but man has it been hard. My mom came out for a few weeks to see the baby and help us move in. My brother with his family and dad and grandma also came to see us out here..We spent a lot of our three and four day weekends driving out to Utah to go to some of the BYU games and to see family. We also took a little trip to Las Vegas so Jason could go to the BYU football game. Christmas was spent here on the rez with lots of snow....

2009: lots of snow on the rez and I thought that the winter would never end. A few more trips to Utah to see family and just hang out. We also made it to Las Vegas in March for more BYU sports games. In April I took a drive down to Queen Creek and Mesa, AZ and just had a fun time hanging out with some great friends. We also went back to UT for some BYU graduations. We just love to travel.

So in my twenties I would have to say it has been great.. A lot of ups and downs. I have learned many things and I hope and think that I have grown from them all...Now I am sure that my thirty's will bring many more ups and downs and I look forward to see what must come my way....I know that I have forgotten a few things, so please leave me a note if you remember something that I should add.. This will be for me to look back on and remember the good and the bad times....Thanks to everyone who has been there for me in all my ups and downs. I love you all!!!

March was a fun month. It started off with Jason turning 32. Then a few days later we took a little trip to Vegas. Here's some things that we got to do in Vegas..

BYU basketball games..That was fun to take Jaden.. I think that he had a lot of fun. He loves BYU anything sports...Maybe someday we can watch him in a BYU sport..LOL!!!

The Wax museum. That was fun.. At first Jaden didn't know what to think when he walked in and saw all the wax people. I think that it kind of confused him but then a little later he thought it was cool...

We did a lot of walking around at some of the big Hotels....didn't buy anything...I took some fun pictures with my camera, which I still have no idea how to use...Still learning.

After Vegas it was back to work and school for the boys. The weather was nice for a few days so we took that time to go on our first hike. We live in the middle of no where so we can pretty much just walk out our back yard and go on a hike. It was a little windy but still the sun felt good and we all got a little color..

Let's see...not much more to say about March... Now it's time for April and lets hope that the weather gets better so we can go on some fun hiking trips..

Jason's Birthday

For Jason's birthday we didn't get to do much. It was on a Sunday so we just kind of stayed here and did nothing. We played a little Guitar Hero, I made him one of his favorite dinners and we had some cake. He got to talk to some of his family and that's about all we did. In his old age Jason likes things laid back and quiet. LOL!! But in a few days we will be off to Vegas and that's where the real party will be for his birthday. There's no place like Vegas to party! LOL! Since we party so much. Anyways, here are some pics of the old man with his kids!

That's right, Jason is now 32! I can't believe it! Where has the time gone. Well lets see, SCHOOL!!!!!!! Anyways, here are a few things that are so great about the Birthday Boy!! Yes, I said boy. That's the big joke with him he may be 32 but he still acts and looks young. The funny thing is when he gets a really short hair cut he looks likes he's 21 again. He say 12 but I still think he looks a little older the that. When I say he still acts young it's because he really enjoys playing his video games. It's like he is a teenage boy again because he won't listen to anything I say when he is in the middle of a game. Jaden loves it because he gets to play video games with his dad. Jason also likes to stay young in the fact that he gets to play with Jaden. They play baseball, Nerf guns, they like to go fishing and do all kinds of things together. Jason is also so sweet with his baby girl Jordin. I love to watch him get down to her level and play with her. She always has a big smile for her daddy. There are so many great things about Jason that I could go on and on about. But I don't want to bore anyone. So here's to you Jason. I love you and I hope that this year is a great year for you to be 32. Thanks for all that you do for our little family of 4 and thanks for putting up with me and all the crazy things that I say and do. I love you and Happy Birthday!!!

What goes on.....

What goes on.... Well, lets see.... Jordin is now 7 months. Wow, don't know where the time has gone. What is she doing...rolls all over the place, sits up good but still a little unstable, and loves to play in the tub. I think that is her favorite place to be is in the water. She loves to talk to you. Jaden and her talk all the time. Jaden will say something to her and she just loves to ba ba ba. It's so cute! Oh and if you sing to her she tries to sing back. Love it! I wish that we had a video camera so I could capture all the things my kids do.

Jaden is doing well too. He is keeping busy with his school and just hanging out with us. There aren't really any kids out here his age that he can play with so he has to put up with just hanging with mom and dad. So, when the weather is nice we try to make it outside to the courts to go play some baseball. That's Jadens all time favorite sport.

Long time no post!

Well, it's been awhile since my last post. Things have been crazy around here on the rez. Little Jordin has been sick since the middle of December with a cold that just won't go away. At the same time she got her two bottom teeth on Christmas Day. I guess all she wanted for Christmas were here two front teeth. :) Well, that's when I first noticed them. But she just can't seem to kick this cold. She's still a happy little baby, but at night when she's up every 1-2 hours then you know she's not feeling that great. Since I haven't been sleeping much, I now have a cold that has lasted way too long. So I haven't really been able to do much of anything. Not getting enough sleep has not been very good on the body. Anyways, we took a little trip down to Provo again and just had a fun weekend. I got to go and see the movie Twilight and loved it. I can't wait until it comes out on Blu-Ray. I think that's a movie that I could watch over and over just like Step up 2 the Streets! LOL! That's for you Lynlee and Nate. Every time we are at their house we watch some of it!! Love it!! Jason, Jaden, JR and Nate went snowmobiling in the mountains near Heber, Ut with Lynlees dad and brothers. That was Jadens first time and he just loved it!!! Now he asking for us to buy him one...Yeah right, maybe if we lived in Utah. That would be so much fun. who knows where we will be in a few years??? I was sad when the boys said that they didn't take any photos. Oh well, maybe next time. I haven't taken many photos with the new camera yet. I still need to learn how to use it. But here is one of Jordin. I just love the color of her eyes. This camera is so much better then our old hand me down from 5 years ago. Thanks Nate!! I am going to learn more about it and I will be a pro in no time. Yeah right, in my dreams. I think that it's going to take some time but I love to take photos and can't wait to learn.

Books, Books and more Books!

I hope that everyone is having a Happy New year. Not much going on here on the rez. It's been cold and Jordin has been sick so I haven't gotten out much. So in the time that I have been stuck in the house (there's really nothing to do here anyways,lol) I have read Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. Each book within two days each! Crazy I know! I have loved every page. I am now onto the last book Breaking Dawn. Notice the background of my blog!! After I am done with this book I think I might take a break. LOL!! I haven't read like this since I was in High School. That's way too long. I forgot how much I like to read. LOL! The reason that I laugh about that is because when anyone ever ask me if I like to read I would just laugh and say no! Well, Now that has changed. So if anyone knows of some more great books to read, let me know!!

Christmas on the Rez

Christmas time here at the Price house was nice and white. We had alot of snow over the week! Jason had to work on Christmas eve but got to come home a little early that day. He also got the day after christmas off too. That was nice. We enjoyed the evening with a nice little ham dinner with just the four of us.

After dinner, jaden wanted to go to bed so that Santa would come. So we put out the milk and cookies and then it was off to bed for Jaden and Jordin. The house was nice and quiet for the rest of the night in hopes of Santa!

Jaden and Jordin got up at 7:30am. Jason was not ready for that but he was a good dad and he got up. LOL!!

Santa got Jordin her first new baby doll. Jaden loved the fact that he got to open her gifts for her. He was such a great help!

Chirstmas was good to me this year. Jason got me some great things. Here are a few of them. I love the fact that he got me a new camera. I can't wait to start to use it. I get it this wednesday. It wasn't in stock before Christmas. So he got me the book on how to use the Nikon D60. I can't wait.
One thing that I want to do this next year is to learn a new skill. There are some people here that are trying to learn how to knit. So he got me the Knitting for Dummies book. I love it! It's looks hard to me but I think that I will have a fun time learning how to do it. And the next fun thing that he got me was the Twilight book. If anyone knows me, they know that I don't read. Well, boy was I wrong. i loved this book. I read it in two days and it's about 500 pages. That's crazy for me. But the funny thing is that Jason asked me if I wanted the other three books that go with the saga. Um, YES! I can't wait till they get here. I really wish that I could go see the movie, but there's no one for me to go with so I will just have to wait until it comes out on Blu-ray.

Jason had a great christmas too. He got some fun things like a massaging heat chair, a ton of Blu-ray movies and some PS3 games. That's what really keeps us busy here on the rez when it's cold out!

Jaden loved his hulk toy from his Aunt Cami and Uncle JR. He also got the Hulk Movie from Santa.

Well! All in all we had a great time together. We were sad that we didn't get to see our Families for the Holidays. Maybe some time soon we will be able to be close to them all. Thanks again for all the fun gifts that were sent to us. Mom, I love our Magic Bullet set you sent to us. I'll have fun making new 10 second recipes!!LOL! We hope that everyone had a great Christmas and that everyone has a fun and safe Happy New year!!! We miss and love our friends and family.

Las Vegas

Vegas Baby!!! We got to take a little trip to Vegas for the weekend. Jason went to the BYU Bowl game with his dad and sister Jen. It was a fun but short trip. Here are some pics of our trip!

The kids got to see Santa. He was at our hotel. It's pretty sad that we had to go to Vegas to see Santa. I don't really know if there was one where we live. But let me tell you that everything in Vegas cost so much. Just to take this photo it cost me $20. Oh well, it's so cute and it's all about the memories.

Snow Day!!!

Yep! It snowed a little and the kids had a snow day! LOL! It's nothing like Omaha snow! you can go out and enjoy the snow because it's not that cold. anyways, the day was spent playing in the snow and drinking hot chocolate and watching movies. Now I just hope that they have school tomorrow because they are going to have there little Christmas party.

5 months old!!

Wow! Time is going by so fast. Jordin is now 5 months and she is learning and doing new things each day. Here are a few things that she likes to do!

On Thanksgiving day she found her tongue. She just started to stick it out every time she smiled at you!! If she met someone new, she would give them a big smile with her little tongue sticking out! So cute! She now chews on it and just loves to stick it out and make funny sounds with it!

She loves to try and put her whole hand in her mouth and gets mad when it won't all go in! She also loves to look at herself in the mirror when she is trying to do this!

She likes to spend alot of time on her play mat. She is rolling all over, so we really have to watch her to make sure that she doesn't end up on the cold floor. (We don't have any carpet)

This was a day she took a nap. She doesn't really like to take naps during that day. She sleeps pretty good during the night but still wakes up about 2-3 times a night. It all depends. Jordin will always be our little sleeping beauty! (I just love sleeping babies, they are just so cute!!)

She is enjoying tasting new foods. The green peas didn't go over to well, but she sure loves her bananas.

High School Tag

So, I've been tagged. I'm supposed to reflect on the "glory days" (a.k.a. "high school").

1. Did you date someone from your school?
Yes! My husband Jason.

2. What kind of car did you drive?
I started out with a 1981 Subaru. We bought it new back in 81'. My brother had it first then I got it till it died. Then my senior year, I got my dad to buy me a sweet 91' white Mitsubishi turbo eclipse. It was way to fast and I think that I got like three or four tickets. I don't remember, I lost count! LOL!

3. Did you pass your drivers test on your first try?
Yes! and i took the test in the Subaru, which was a stick. I was so nervous. I think I just barley past it by like 2 or 3 points. But I am happy to say that I have never been in a car accident. I may have a few tickets but nothing bad!! LOL!

4. Were you a party animal?
Yes! But I was a good girl when it came to the parties. I had a few big blow outs at my house. but no trouble!!

5. Were you considered a flirt?
Sure

6. Were you in band, orchestra or choir?
I was in choir in 7th and 9th grade and in show choir in 8th grade. That was fun!

7. Were you a nerd?
NO!!!!

8. Were you on any varsity teams?
No! I hurt my back when I played Volleyball in the 10th grade.

9. Can you still sing the fight song?
No! Back in the day I did. But my sister-in-law still knows it, and that's why it's on this post!

10. Who were your favorite teachers?
Mr. Phelps (English). He use to make us watch 'Field of Dreams' at the end of every year and we had to wright a paper on it! The funny thing is I think I had his class every year. So I got really good at writing that paper.

11. Where did you sit for lunch?
We had off campus lunch, so we got to go out to eat. It was mostly where ever we wanted to eat in Covington.

12. What is your schools full name?
Kentwood Senior High School

13. What is your schools mascot and colors?
Conqueror. Green, silver and black.

14. Did you go to homecoming and with who?
I went to two my junior year, KM with Dave and KW with Brandon. My Senior year I went with my best bud BJ. Didn't really go with any boyfriends.

15. If you could go back and do it again would you?
Yes! it was a great time in my life! I have lots of great times that I will never forget!

16. What did you remember most about graduation?
It was fun! I really don't remember too much. I walked with BJ and grad night was fun!

17. Where did you go for senior skip day?
I don't remember!

18. Were you in any clubs?
Can't remember that either

19. Have you gained some weight since then?
Hmm...what do you think? It's been 11 years since graduation and 2 kids.

20. Who was you prom date?
BJ was my prom date. He was one of my really good friends!

21. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion?
We had ours last year and it was fun. I just hope that next time it's not at a bar!

22. Did you have a job in high school?
Yes, i had a few jobs. I worked at burger place, and I can't remember where else.

This is Jordins new thing!

Every time you look at her she does this! It just makes me smile.

Jaden had so much fun putting together his little gingerbread house. I also think he liked the way the frosting tasted.

Jaden is such a great help with Jordin in the car. We went to Farmington last weekend. We thought that it only took an 1 1/2, but it took us about 2 1/2 hours. Next time we are just going to go to the big city!

Happy Birthday Dad! This is your blog birthday card. Since I don't have a mail box out my front door, I forgot to run to the post office to send a card. so I thought that this would be a fun way to say Happy birthday! We want you to know that we love you and all the crazy things that you do.. Thanks again for coming out to the Rez to see us. I enjoyed the company more then you know! We are happy to have you in our life. It's always fun to come to your farm and play with all the animals. Jaden has learned that his love for horses will never go away. I think that he gets that from me and you I can't wait to bring little Jordin out to ride the horses and see all the fun things there is to see. We love you and we hope that your day is a great one! Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful. I am very thankful for all that I have. My sweet children, Jason, Jason's job( even though the job is on the rez), my family (wish I could see them more), and I am also very thankful for the gospel in my life.

Thanksgiving this year was spent here on the Rez. I wish that we could have had some family to share this fun holiday with, but I guess we just always live to far away:( Someday, we will be close to our families. Not much went on. Jaden had a few days off but Jason had to work. So on wednesday, Jaden wanted to start putting up the christmas things. So I said ok and we started to put the tree up. Jaden pretty much did the whole tree by himself. What a great little helper. Then on Thanksgiving day we just hung out and didn't really do much. The weather was cold and it started to snow alittle, but not much to stay on the ground. We went over to Tylers house (Jason works with him) about 5pm had dinner and then came home. On friday it was nice to sleep in and not have to worry about going shopping or anything crazy. Almost everyone I talked too went shopping really early. we do all our shopping online now that we live so far from everthing. But I think when we move off the rez, I think that we will still do most of our shopping online. There are great deals and we don't have to pay shipping or we don't have to deal with all the people to get into lines. LOL! Don't get me wrong, i love to shop! I think that's what I do best! Jason's wallet may not like it, but boy is it fun! Well, now it's time to get ready for Christmas. This year we will be here on the Rez. Jason has to work again. That's what happens when you are the last one hired. LOL!!

Yes, I think that's what I really want for christmas. Jason has been looking for me and lets hope he finds the right one. I love taking photo's of my kids. Jaden only likes to take pics when he is with Jordin. He loves her so much!! He is also a great help at getting her to laugh or smile for a photo! Here are a few pics that Jaden helped me take and as always he wanted to jump in! I just love my big boy!!!

Just some fun little things that our sweet little Jordin has been doing!!

She had her first taste of rice cereal. I know, it's really early, but all she wants to do is eat and she won't take a bottle so we think that rice cereal will fill her up! Yeah right! LOL!!She eats so much, but yet she's still so little.

Every day is a new and fun day with the kids. Jaden is the best big brother and I know that he will always take care and watch out for his little sister. He loves to help out with her in every way. Let's just hope that it stays that way. I'm sure he will, he's a great kid. So, not much else going on here on the Rez. Oh yeah, this past week we saw our first snow on the ground!! Nothing like Omaha snow. LOL!

Halloween was great. The day was very busy. Jaden had his little school party at about 1pm. So I got to the school and I was the only parent who came to his class. That was kind of sad. The kids just love to see little Jordin and Jadens teacher likes the help. The kids in his class really like to show me what kind of work they can do and they love to hear that they are doing well. I think that I need to go in more often to be with the kids. They love the outside attention. After school we just came home and got the house ready for the trick-or-treaters. Jaden loves to get things ready for Halloween. Jason took Jaden out for alittle while and then I got to go out with him. The weather was great, so I took Jordin out with us and we walked around. I couldn't believe how many people we saw. We bought about 6 big bags of candy and it was all gone by 7:30pm. The people out here really get into Halloween. That's why Jason is so busy at work. Candy, Candy and more Candy!!! anyways we got in about 7:30 and just kind of hung out. Then at about 10:15pm some older trick-or-treaters came by to see if there was any candy left. We thought that was kind of funny! Well here's our fun pics from the night!!!

Theses pumpkins took some time. We love carving pumpkins. Jason really gets into it and Jaden loves to pull out all the insides. I know that you can't see them very well but they looked really cool.

Ok!! Every time we go to Utah we have to go eat at my favorite place, Costa!!!! I love the food. I could eat it everyday if I could. My sister-in-law Cami use to work there and I always ask her if she knows how to make the food. She said she didn't get to make the food and they never would let anyone know how to make it!! All she knows is that with the sweet pork they used alot of sugar and butter. No wounder it taste so good. So I went on the Internet to see if I could find something like it!! Well I found a great recipe and then I added alittle more to it!! Wow was it good!! Jason loved it and we have been eating it for a few days now. You can do so much with these things. I made the sweet pork, Cilantro Ranch Dressing, the lime rice and the Pico. Now I Just need to learn how to make the home made tortillas. So here is the recipe.

Sweet Pork
Serves: 12
Difficulty: Easy
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 6-8 hours

Ingredients:
• 4 lb pork shoulder roast (the more fatty the roast, the better)
• 1 Cup of Pace Picante sauce. (Medium heat is best, but the mild version will work)
• 2 Cups brown sugar
2 1/2 cups coke
• Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup white sugar at the end!

1. Remove pork roast from packaging, and wash. (Avoid cutting the roast to expedite cooking time)
2. In a separate bowl, mix picante sauce and brown sugar and wisk until sugar is mostly dissolved.
3. In a crock pot or slow cooker, place the roast in the cooker and cover the roast with the mixture of picante sauce and brown sugar and also add the coke.
4. Place on medium heat, cover and simmer. Check it every hour or so to rotate roast in the juices. The roast will eventually produce enough juices to make the right consistency, so do not add water.
5. Once the roast is fully cooked, it will begin to fall apart. Use a fork to separate the meat into smaller segments. Add the 1/2 cup white sugar then mix, Cover and continue cooking.
6. After 8 hours, continue to shred the meat until no chunks remain.
7. If it appears to be too juicy, turn slow cooker down to its lowest setting, remove the cover and let it reduce as needed.
*you can freeze the meat.

Cilantro Ranch Dressing
• 1 package of Hidden Valley ® ranch dressing. (prepare according to directions)
• 3 Tbsp of prepared salsa verde)
• cilantro (1/4 bunch)
• 2 cloves of garlic
• 1/4 cup lime juice
• 1/8 tsp Tabasco
Clean and rinse cilantro and remove large stems. Pour prepared ranch dressing in a blender, and add cilantro leaves, salsa verde, garlic, lime juice and Tobasco. Blend until cilantro is finely chopped. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until dressing has thickened.

Pico de Gallo• 1 cup diced tomatoes (remove seeds)
• 1/3 cup diced red onion
• 1 Jalapeno diced (at least a Tablespoon, but more if you prefer)
• 1 Tbsp minced garlic
• 2 limes juiced (about 1/3 Cup of lime juice)
• 1 Tbsp cilantro, plus extra for garnish
• Salt and pepper
Mix all ingredients in a bowl, and stir well. Chill.

Enjoy!!!

Just thought that I would share some more cute pics of Jordin. She is getting bigger and it's sad to say that I have to put her 0-3 month clothes away. she is really long and is growing into here 3-6 months clothes very fast.
It's fun to see her grow but it makes me sad that she is getting bigger. I love everyday that I get to spend with her and my family. I feel very blessed!

October is off to a great start. My bother and his family drove up from Washington to come and see us. I think that they were crazy driving that long but it was so great to see them. They also stopped at alot of great places on the way and also went to see our Grandmother and some other family members in New Mexico. Anyways we had a great time while they were here. It's been great having all of my side of the family come and see us out here on the Rez. Thanks, I love you all.

Some other fun things have taken place as well. Jaden lost his second tooth. The story is we were just sitting there and then he said to me, "Mom I lost my tooth. But I don't know when or where I lost it." I thought that he might have lost it when he was eating his food. He was kind of sad because he said now that he didn't have the tooth the tooth fairy wouldn't come. So we looked around the house and there it was on the floor by the kitchen table. It blended in with the floor, but how weird that it just fell out of his month onto the floor without him knowing. LOL!
Anyways the tooth fairy came and he got his $2.00. He was a happy kid. so now all he wants for Christmas is his two bottom teeth. :)

Then once again we went to Utah for a BYU game. Jason had a four day weekend so we took off to Utah. While Jason went to the game with his brother, I took the kids bowling with Cami. Then we went to Bed and Bath and I got some new stuff for the half bath down stairs. I love getting new things for the house. I just can't wait until it's my real house. Someday! Once again BYU won. Everyone was happy. But when BYU played TCU, they lost. Jason wasn't to happy about that. Oh well you can't win them all. So now I think that we will be staying here for awhile. no more trips to Utah until maybe next year. It's time to save our money so we can go to Vegas and Disney World next year. I can't wait. well Halloween is around the corner and then the rest of all the fun Holidays. I will be sad that we can't go anywhere but it will be nice to be with our little family. Maybe next year or the year after. Someday!

For Jordins blessing we drove out to Provo, UT. The reason why we went to Utah to bless her was so we could share this special day with some family. (There was also a BYU football game that weekend too:) Jason's mom and dad came from Washington and we stayed with Nate, Lynlee, Cami and JR. We had a great weekend. First we went to my favorit place, Costa and had lunch. Then we all met up at the BYU book store to get some more BYU things. Then we had the blessing and then we went to dinner. The next day was the game and we all put on our BYU clothes. YEP! Everyone had on BYU clothes. You just have to when they are doing so well. The score was 59 BYU to a big fat ZERO UCLA. Then after the game we all went back and just hung out and enjoyed just being around each other. FUN TIMES, we love being with our Family. It's hard being so far away from family. So when we get together we always have a great time. Here are some pictures from that weekend.

Just some updates

Last week was a a fun one. Jordin had her two month check up. Here's the before picture. She was all happy and ready to go.

Then came the shots.

She only cried for about two or three minutes and then she was fine. The rest of the day she just kind of slept and wanted to be held. She weighs about 10 lbs and she was about 23 inches long. So since birth she has gained about 3lbs and she has grown about 2 1/2 inches. I don't really know where on the growth chart that is because they didn't show me and I forgot to ask. They do things alittle different here at the Indian Hospital where Jason works. I'm really not suppose to go there but because Jason works there I can. It takes a long time to see someone. My appointment was at 9:30am and I got out of there at noon. It was a long wait. But the Doctors are great so it's worth it.

Last night was a great night. Last week I ordered her crib and it said it would take about a week or two to get here. The great UPS man dropped it off yesterday. So when Jason got home from work he started putting it together. It looks so great and I can't wait to get her room all set up!!

Poor little Jordin has been sleeping in her car seat and her little pink seat since she was born. I have felt so bad for the past few weeks because she is getting bigger and the seats just looked like they kept getting smaller. So when the crib came yesterday I was happy. She slept so great in it!! She only woke up once at about 4am to eat. She also went down at about 8:30pm which was great. As for one night in the crib, it was great for all of us!!!! Lots of sleep!

OK! Now here's the big question. We have been living with theses fun, I mean gross looking bugs. What are theses? Does anyone know. I sent an email to my dad to see if he knows, but if you do let me know. The people around here have told me all sorts of names for it, but they are just wrong and ugly looking bugs. I don't know what they do or if they can hurt you. I am still looking on the internet to find out. if you know of any good web pages about these things, let me know.! All I know is that when you step on them they make a pop sound and all this gross stuff comes out of them. Fun times if you step on one with no shoes. That hasn't happen yet and I really don't want it too.

What goes on!

I forgot to post this when I wrote it a few weeks ago.

Well, our trip to Utah was great. It felt like we were gone for a week. We loved it. The drive is only about 7 hours and the kids did great. Here's a few fun facts about the drive.
1st, we left at about 5pm and didn't eat anything before we left, so we were just going to find the next McD's, but there is no McD's between here and Moab. So that was about 3 1/2hours away. We thought that was funny.
2nd, you really do have to be careful when driving out here so you don't hit a cow, dog, horse, person or whatever else is out there in the middle of no where.
3rd, we stopped at a gas station to get a drink and there were no straws for the drinks, so note to self, when driving to Utah from here bring straws if you want a fountain drink.
The 4th thing about driving to Utah is that land is very pretty to look at. The rocks and cliffs and mountains are very pretty and lastly the stars at night are so big. When we got to Moab it was really dark out and all the stars where out. Jaden loved looking at all the big stars. His favorite thing was the big dipper. he knew what that was and kept saying look I see it again and there it is again. He was so excited to see it!!

So now here are the reasons we love to go back to Utah.

1st we love to see our family and friends. Jason's brother Nate and his wife Lynnlee and his sister Cami and her husband JR live there. The fun thing is they both live in the same townhouse. so we get to stay with them both.
2nd things is, we love BYU football. Jason went to school there and has always loved the team. Jason and Jaden went to the game but it got to hot so I picked up Jaden and lynnlee about half way through the game. I didn't get to go because I didn't want to bring Jordin. It was really too hot for her.
3rd we have to eat at our favorite place that are only in Utah. Like Wingers and Costa. we always go there. I make sure that we go to Costa and Jason makes sure we go to Wingers. He loves there wings.
4th I love to go shopping and because we don't live by anything great to shop at, I go shopping while they are all at the game. Jason doesn't really like that Idea but Jaden needed some new clothes and I just love to find great deals.

So after we came back from Utah, My friends Angela and Jen where driving to Queen Creek, AZ and they passed through Gallup. So I went up there to meet them. The funny thing is I don't have a cell phone and I told them to meet me at the McD's there in town, well I thought that there was only one McD's but I was wrong. There are three. So I was at one and they were at the other for about 30min until they called the McD's that I was at and then I drove to the one they were at. that sucked because we only got to talk for a short time. It was really good to see them both.

This next week will be fun. My Dad and grandmother are going to be coming to see us Monday-Thursday and then we leave again for Utah on Thursday. We are going to bless Jordin and there is anther BYU game. so it's going to be a fun next week. As long as there is something to look forward too I think that I will not go nuts anymore. It's hard being out here, but it's only for a few years and we will have to make it fun with lots of little trips and fun outdoor activities. As long as our little family is together we are good!!!

Well, things have been nuts around here. I mean I think that I am going nuts. It seems like everything was going wrong. It all started last week when I started feeling like I was getting a cold and boy was i right. I have been so sick this past week and to top that all off Jordin got it too. So with stuffy noses and no sleep everything started to hite me. The move, having a baby, starting a new job, the loans, medical insurance, Jaden at his new school, boxes every where and the fact that there is no family out here. WOW! That's alot of stress. But!!!! Jason likes his job and is now getting the hang of things after being a bum for three months. (we were all bums for the last three months before the move. it was kind of nice) Jaden has made some friends and he likes his school. I don't know where I stand in all this. I love being a new mom again. it's hard with the no sleep and feeding the baby all the time, but I love it. Yes, there has been lots of tears because I don't think that I am doing my job as a mother and a wife, but every time I feel down, my sweet Jason and jaden tell me that I am doing a great job and that it's ok if the house isn't perfect and the dishes aren't done. Just as long as I am happy, they are happy!! Also, whenever my mom calls she picks me up too. I love you mom!! Also, I live every day by keeping the Faith in all that I do. When I start to feel down, i look at my family and smile. I know things are great, I just think I need a little more sleep and I'll be great! So this weekend we are off to the BYU football game. well Jason and Jaden are going to go, Jordin and I are going to do some shopping and some other girl stuff. I really need my hair done and some clothes. So while the boys are at the game, I will be doing what I do best. shopping. I love a great deal! LOL! Well, Time to go and pack. Love you all!!!

Our New Adventures in Fort Defiance

One day I took about 30 pictures to get a good one. It's hard when your camera is slow. We need a new one bad but here is one that I thought was cute!

On the last day that my mom was here with us we went to the Window Rock Zoo. It's a really cute little, I mean little zoo. There's not much there but we had a great time. Here are some fun pictures of us at the zoo.

I told you it was a small Zoo. But we did see a wolf, bobcat, two black bears, some fox's, an owl,a coyote and I think a turkey. There were a few more but they must have been hiding. Like I said, it's a small cute little zoo.

Then we went and looked at some houses that we might want to buy! Tell us what you think.

This is the house that Jason likes the most. He liked the mud walls on the outside and the wood walls on the inside.

We thought that there was alot of room in the inside.

Well enough fun, Fort Defiance is a great peaceful place. We love it so far. The people are great here and we can't wait to learn more about the culture. When we found out that we were going to be moving here, I did some research on the area. For example, you need to be really careful when driving because you might hit a cow because they just wander all over the place. We haven't hit one yet but we have seen them in the roads walking as slow as they can. You also have to watch out for all the rez dogs. They are every where! We haven't seen any snakes yet and we really don't want too. The weather is so great here. That's one thing I love about Fort Defiance is the weather. It's cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon and then it cools down again in the evening. It has also rained almost everyday that we have been here, but only for al ittle while and then it gets nice again. There was one day when we had a really bad rain storm that lasted about 30 min. and then it was nice the rest of the day!

Jaden likes school and has lots of questions. For example he came home and said that the kids at school told him that he needed to shave his legs and his arms because he had to much hair on them. Jason, my mom and I just laughed to ourselves and told him that some kids just don't have hair on there arms and legs and that it's ok to have hair. He said that he didn't like it when they said that to him, so we told him to tell the kids that his dad has hair on his arms and legs and that's ok! This is going to be hard out here for him, But I think that he will be ok! My mother told Jaden that when we lived in Hawaii, the kids made fun of me too about the hair on my legs and arms. She also said that I wanted to shave my legs so they wouldn't make fun of me anymore, I was only in the 5th grade and I think that my mom let me. Can't remember! There will be no shaving for Jaden. He'll just have to learn that we are hairy people. LOL!!!

On Sunday we went to our church for the 1st time. WOW! They said it was a ward but there were only like 30-40 people there, if that. It is a very small ward. I think that it's going to be a new adventure just going to church here because it's so small. But we think that it's going to fun and a great learning experience.

The move update!

Well, We are here in Fort Definace, AZ in a big empty houes. We don't have any of our things until Monday the 11th. we have been here a week with nothing, we just got the phones and the internet on August 7th, which was are 9th anniversary. yep that's right 9 years. We didn't do anything because we are all very tired of the move and sleeping on blow up beds are not fun what so ever!! I did buy us a gift and it's kind of a funny story which I will tell later when I can post pics. Jordin and Jaden are doing great. Jaden starts school this monday the 11th and he has already made some little friends. Jordin is getting bigger and doing great. Jason started work last monday and is just doing orientation. He gets to start working on patients this tuesday. He can't wait. Well, as for me I am just hanging out with my mom who is here for about anther week and we are just waiting for our things to get here and then we can put the house together and get back to life. We love the weather here and I think that this is going to be a great two or three or maybe four years here. who knows! No really does anyone know? LOL!! Life is great and I love my family. Wow! The first week with our new little Jordin has gone by fast. She loves to sleep, eat and poop all the time. Oh yeah, she also likes to keep us up at night. Everyone in Village Green has been so great by bring us dinners. I think it's really lunch for us since we have been sleeping in really late. Jaden gets to go to a summer activity at his school from 10am to 4pm durning the week, so he is well taken care of there and we don't have to worry about what he is doing. All his friends are there with him as well. Jaden was so happy to have lost his first tooth this past monday. He was brushing his teeth and the next thing ya know he was all happy because he saw his tooth in the sink. He couldn't stop smiling. He is really turing into a big boy. He was so happy that he got $2 from the tooth fairy. Wow, i only got 25cents back in the day. Prices have gone up :) LOL! Well, we still don't know when the big move day is but we know it will be before august 1st. we hope!!!

Baby Jordin Elizabeth Price

Our dear sweet baby girl is here. We feel so blessed to have her in our life. Our little family of three has been waiting for this for a long time. It's been a very long road getting her here and now we are a family of four. We named her Jordin Elizabeth. We loved the name Jordin and her middle name comes from my late grandmother Helen Elizabeth. We just knew that this was her name when we saw her. Everything went really well durning the delivery. It was a long day but it was all worth it. We got started at 6am on july 8th and she came at 12:05am on july 9th. We got to come home from the hospital on Friday. She weighed 7lbs 2.9oz and was 20 1/2inches long. We think that she has blue eyes and she looks alot like Jaden when he was a baby. We love her and still can't believe that she is here. It doesn't feel real because we all have been wanting her here with us for a long time. We kept our faith in the lord and he blessed us with this sweet little miracle. Jaden and Jordin are truly blessings to Jason and I.

4th of July Fun!

This 4th of July was a very laid back day. It was so nice just to hang out at home and kind of do nothing. I did some fun projects that I have been working on and then washed some of baby girls clothes and blankets. Jason just played video games and Jaden played outside with his friends. We had a great family dinner and then Jaden wanted to do some fireworks. So we did a few and then waited till it got darker to do some more. Jaden had so much fun with all the fun fireworks that we got. I think that we started lighting them at about 8pm and didn't get done until 11pm. We watched the big firework show that took place at the baseball field and then did the rest of ours. It was a great time with just the three of us!!! We love being together. Indiana Jones Birthday party

Well it's was that time of year again. Jaden is turning 6. I can't believe it!! Time is going by so fast. This year we Had a great little party on July 2nd. It also turned out to be one of Jadens good friend Hunters birthday too. So Kellie (hunters mom) and I put together a little party for the two of them. This really made things easier on me because I am going to have the baby in about 5 more days and Kellie Just had twins about three weeks ago. So it was nice to share all the party planning. It went really well!

The Theme for the party was Indiana Jones. We just went and saw the movie a few weeks ago and Jaden loved it. Some times you can hear him humming the theme song. It's so funny!!! The party was fun. Kellie did the games and the kids had a great time. They did an obstacle course and then they went on a treasure hunt around Village Green. We had pizza and then cup cakes with worms on them. I think that Jaden and Hunter had a great birthday Party.

The Storm That Changed Village Green

Yesterday at about 4:45pm we heard the tornado warnings going off. The kids were still out playing and we all just kind of looked at each other like what storm. Then someone came out and said that we were going to get hit by a storm with 90 mph winds and that we should get in the house. so we all got the kids round up and the bikes put away and just as we were done Jaden and I were looking out the window watching the clouds roll in. I was trying to tell Jason to come and look and he was like whatever, once you've seen a storm there all the same. Not this one!!!! This, by far, was one of the worst storms we have been through here in Omaha. The power went out about 5:07pm and then it all came down all once. There was hail, wind, rain, things were flying all over the place and we couldn't even see out the windows. Jason and I hurried and got some stuff to take in the basement because we thought for sure that something was going to happen. But then of course, we went back up stairs and started to look out our front window to see what was going on. That's when the wind went crazy and blew down all the trees that were in our front drive. After that we went back into the basement, waited a few minutes and then we went back up to see if it stopped. Then it was just raining really hard. still no power! so after about 30 minutes I went out to see what happened, WOW, there were so many trees down and everyone started coming out to see what went on. Then everyone started to clean up because the road was blocked and it wasn't safe. We were just about to start dinner when this all happened so since the power was out we went to go see what was open to eat. I needed food so bad. Then after that we went to see if the movies were playing and they were open, so we went to see the Hulk at 10pm. Jaden thought that it was a great movie. So all in all it was a very fun filled night. When we got home there was still no power and it was time for bed.
Here are the pictures that I took off the after math of the storm! This was some crazy stuff for good old V.G. But everyone pulled together to help clean up and made sure that no one was hurt. Which there was nothing to report! Just a lot of trees that will be gone forever.

sticks from the trees, so Jason got out there and cleaned

up the drains!

Jaden thought that it was pretty cool to be

out in the rain after it all happened.

It was really a big mess. The kids thought it

was fun to watch Jason clean up and also to play in

water!

This was a big tree that almost took out someones

town home. It only took out some wires. Nothing

else but lots of clean up!

Here are the trees that fell down in the street in

front of my town home. We had three really nice trees

That are now no more.

This is the tree that was just outside my front

door. Most of it went into the street but the trunk

and a few big branches are still there. but you can see

where it broke off.

We are so blessed that no one was hurt and that there wasn't to much damage to the houses. We just got our power back on at about 1:50pm today. Village Green is really a great place to live, so many people were out helping clean up and they all worked together to get it done fast. We will miss it when we move on to our next little adventure in life. Still no baby, I am sure that we will be seeing her when she is due. But right now she's happy were she is for about week and three days. We will post when she is here in our arms.

Life with the Price's

Well, I think that I might have gotten this whole blog thing down now. Now we will just have to see if I post or not! Well here's a few things to know about us. In about two weeks we are going to have our baby girl. Still not sure on her name, but we are still working on that. Jaden can't wait to meet her and boy does he have lots of questions on how she is going to come out!! not sure if I want to tell him at the good old age of soon to be six in July!!! Yeah the funny thing about Jaden and his little sister is that their Due dates were the 15th and the 16th of July. I still think it's funny!

Jason starts his Job with the IHS in August. So right after we have the baby we will be moving two weeks later to a little place in AZ. Can't wait! Then We will start our new life! NO MORE SCHOOL!!!! That's going to be nice!!!! Well, here's some pictures! I'll post more soon!
